1. Material Inspection  
Raw Material Check: Verify the composition and quality of base metals  to ensure they meet specifications.  
Plating/Coating Quality: Inspect electroplating (e.g., gold/silver/rhodium plating) for thickness, adhesion, and uniformity.  
Allergen Compliance: Ensure nickel-free or hypoallergenic coatings if required.  
2. Production Process Control  
Casting & Molding: Check for defects like porosity, cracks, or uneven surfaces.  
Soldering & Assembly: Ensure joints are secure and smooth without weak spots.  
Polishing & Finishing: Inspect for scratches, burrs, or inconsistent textures.  
3. Durability & Functionality Testing  
Tarnish Resistance: Test for oxidation/corrosion under humidity or sweat exposure.  
-Wear & Tear: Simulate friction (e.g., chain pull tests) to assess plating longevity.  
Clasp/Closure Testing: Verify functionality and strength of hooks, lobster clasps, etc.  
4. Aesthetic & Final Inspection  
Visual Appeal: Ensure color consistency, shine, and design accuracy.  
Gemstone/Embellishment Security: Check glued or set stones for looseness.  
Packaging Integrity: Verify no scratches/damage during packing.  
5. Compliance & Certification  
REACH/ROHS Compliance: Ensure lead, cadmium, and other hazardous substances are within limits.  
ASTM/ISO Standards: Adhere to international benchmarks (e.g., ASTM F2923 for children’s jewelry).  
Lab Testing Reports: Provide certificates from third-party labs (e.g., SGS, BV).  

6. Documentation & Corrective Actions  
QC Checklists: Maintain records for each batch.  
Defect Classification: Categorize issues (minor/major/critical) for rework or rejection.  
Continuous Improvement: Analyze defects to refine processes.
